Maruti hikes car prices, warranty period

Maruti Udyog Ltd on Monday increased car prices by up to 1.5 per cent on selected models while raising the warranty period to two years for all cars.

The price hike of up to 1.5 per cent has been on selected models including Maruti 800, Omni, Zen (petrol), Alto and Wagon R, company officials said.

Prices of certain models including Esteem, Euro I, Baleno and Zen (diesel), have not been changed, they said.

MUL has raised the warranty period for all cars to two years from the previous one year, the official said.

The company has issued the revised price list to its dealers on Monday.
