Abhishek Bachchan's close friends hosted a special bachelor's bash for him at Jalsa, one of the Bachchan bungalows in the western Mumbai suburb of Juhu.
The bachelor's party on Tuesday night, attended by Abhishek's pals Sikander Kher and Rohan Sippy, was an elaborately planned affair, sources said. Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and members of the Bachchan family were in attendance at the party that went on till the wee hours, they added.
The family is now gearing up for tonight's sangeet ceremony ahead of Abhishek's wedding to Aishwarya Rai on Friday.
The sangeet ceremony too will be a grand affair. The groom and the bride will perform to the strains of their hit number Kajra Re, while the couple's friends, including Kirron Kher and director Karan Johar, will dance to hit Bollywood songs.
It appears the couple is taking the sangeet ceremony, set to begin at 7.30 pm, very seriously -- both practised their dance moves till late in the night.
The ceremony will be out of bounds for everyone but the invitees. The Bachchans have even soundproofed the specially constructed mandap where the ceremony will be held. Barricades have been put up outside the venue and police have been put on alert as the first leg of the wedding celebrations gets underway.
