The shoot in the idyllic Pahalgam had started on August 27, and was spread in the surrounding areas of Aru, Yennad and Chandanwari.
The crew was put up at the Hotel Heevan, located on the banks of the Lidder river.
Shah Rukh got to spend a night in the same room where the song Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho from Raj Kapoor's 1973 blockbuster Bobby was shot.
'I am staying in the room where 'hum tum ek kamre mein bandh ho' was shot in Bobby. Feels sweet... now just to try and lose the keys," Shah Rukh tweeted.

Since King Khan's presence in Pahalgam drew large crowds, a special security team was in place to provide 'Z' category security.
However, the security was a cause of inconvenience for the locals and tourists visiting Pahalgam.

The visit of high profile celebrities like Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan is expected to increase the visits by the film fraternity for shoots, like it was the case in pre-1989 when quite a few Hindi films were shot in the Valley.
Kashmir is already witnessing a boom in tourism since last year with the current year recording over a million tourists and Amarnath pilgrims.
