The Pakistan government, in a statement in Islamabad on Monday night, described the report as 'fallacious, imaginative and contrary to facts'.
"We will not hand over any Pakistani to any country, including the US," Haider told reporters in Karachi.
He also appealed to the captors of the kidnapped journalist to release him immediately in the interest of protecting the image of Pakistan.
Pakistan daily The Nation on Monday had reported that the government had decided to extradite the key suspect in the kidnapping case, Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani, to the US.
A government statement said that, as per the stated policy, all suspected terrorists would be tried in Pakistan.
