During an interaction with Islamabad-based Chinese correspondents ahead of his trip to China from November 1-5, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday said he was not enthused by India's peace plan.

According to China's official Xinhua news agency, Musharraf said: "Those proposals are not strong and have been diluted since they are not dealing with the Kashmir issue."

He suggested that New Delhi and Islamabad should take a three-step procedure to solve the Kashmir issue and urged the international community to facilitate the peace process in the subcontinent.

The procedure, said Musharraf, should include talks, India's acceptance of Kashmir as a disputed area, and a solution to the issue acceptable to Indians, Pakistanis and Kashmiris.
