Close on the heels of his visit to the Siachen glacier, President A P J Abdul Kalam is now all set to visit the Line of Control in Kashmir to review the border fencing work and assess the post-ceasefire scenario in Rajouri-Poonch and Udhampur areas.

President Kalam will arrive at the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur on May 3 to be received by top army officers, sources said.

He will visit 'Aasha', a school for handicapped children run by the Army Wives Welfare Association.

He will later visit the Northern Command military hospital and meet the injured soldiers. The President is also scheduled to visit the army preparatory school in Udhampur.

The President will fly to the Line of Control in Rajouri-Poonch belt, where apart from reviewing the border fencing work he will address soldiers posted at forward posts and take part in 'bada khana' with them.

This is President Kalam's second visit to J&K this year and fourth since taking over as President.
