Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said that the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service was the first step towards a soft border.
He, however, was quick to clarify in an interview given to a news agency in Rawalpindi that a soft border would not be the solution to Kashmir.

Describing the peace process as ''fairly irreversible'', the Pakistan president said India's wish to see the LoC converted into a permanent border was not acceptable.
The comments come a day before General Musharraf leaves for India for talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
