This was stated by Director General Military Operation Lieutenant General Madan Gopal here today responding to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's remarks on Tuesday that he was willing to allow people from Jammu and Kashmir to go across LoC to bolster relief operations in PoK.
He said that India was willing to extend all relief and rescue to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which bore the maximum brunt in the October 8 earthquake but only after security concerns of the country were not compromised with.
"I am not in a position to say anything until and unless the matter is referred to the army. We will weigh all possible options and submit our opinion to the government," the General said in reply to a question as to which would be the possible routes opened along the LoC.
Meanwhile, Home Ministry officials are seriously looking at opening the traditional routes of Uri in Kashmir region and Poonch in Jammu region.
