Rail commuters staged a flash agitation at Borivali, in northern Mumbai, Tuesday night to protest against the inadequate train service on the Borivali-Virar route, in Mumbai's western rail corridor.
The agitation began at around 10.15 pm and disrupted both suburban and long distance traffic on the western line. Trains to Gujarat, Rajasthan and elsewhere in north India pass through this corridor.
The protestors squatted on the tracks in Borivali, preventing the movement of trains in both directions, railway sources said.
