Pakistan People's Party chief Benazir Bhutto's return will bring political stability to the country, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said in Islamabad on Tuesday.
''We will welcome Benazir on her return to the country,'' Kasuri was quoted as saying by The Daily Times.
He said the government wanted to take along all parties and termed the PPP chief's return to Pakistan ''a positive development'' for the general elections.
Kasuri added that the government wanted to have links with all political parties, including the Nawaz Sharif-led Pakistan Muslim League, and had contacted the party's leadership before the former prime minister's return. But Sharif had adopted a ''harsh approach'' towards the government.
