Mumbai police will soon hold an interactive session between all the Deputy Commissioners and Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive during November 26 terror strikes, a senior Crime Branch official said in Mumbai.
"The purpose of allowing the DCPs to interact with Kasab is to understand the psyche of a terrorist. This will help the DCPs to take precautionary and remedial measures to prevent any such crimes in future," Rakesh Maria, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) said on Friday.
Earlier, similar interactive sessions were conducted between all the deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners of police in the city and the arrested Indian Mujahideen module members.
During the session, the officers would know how people get indoctrinated, what kind of training they were given, what tactics they apply to mislead the investigations, from where the terrorists get information about the explosives and how they evade arrest etc.
"The officers of Crime Branch will also be present and also answer queries of the DCPs," Maria said.
"If time permits lower rung officers like Assistant Commissioners will also be allowed to interact with Kasab," a Crime Branch official said.
