After prolonged bickering over seat-sharing in Maharashtra for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party are veering towards an alliance, with some in the BJP even claiming that the seat-sharing formula is ready.

"No serious controversy remains on the seat-sharing issue," senior Sena leader Manohar Joshi said in Mumbai on Monday. "There are some minor issues but I would not like to divulge the details," he told media-persons, indicating that the over two-decade old alliance was on track for the next month's polls.

Though no leader from the Sena camp has so far come on the record about seat-sharing, Joshi had recently said BJP would be contesting on 26 seats while his party would be fielding its nominees in the remaining 22 seats in Maharashtra.
