Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] has bagged the Ceat World Cup Cricketer 2003 award after his splendid performance in the premier event in South Africa [ Images ].
Tendulkar, who was also adjudged the Player of the World Cup, which was won by Australia [ Images ], scored a record 673 runs from 11 matches to top the Ceat ratings for the tournament with 27 points.
The Mumbai [ Images ] batsman will receive the award at the 8th Ceat International Cricket Ratings Awards ceremony, Ceat said in a statement in New Delhi [ Images ] on Tuesday.
Tendulkar is currently ranked sixth overall with 81 points.
