Crisis averted in Karnataka Janata Dal

E-Mail this report to a friend

A fresh crisis has been averted soon after ministers in the ruling Janata Dal in Karnataka objected to the way state party president B L Shankar was removed.

Karnataka Irrigation Minister K N Nage Gowda said today that the issue had been sorted out and the chief minister had been authorised to take suitable action. The ministers would attend tomorrow's function in which Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah takes over from Shankar.

The ministers, who were upset about the ouster of Shankar by the Dal political affairs committee, had held meetings together and told the chief minister what they felt.
